LAVORP will act to effectively resolve, reduce, and prevent conflict through teaching and implementing principles of Restorative Justice.

Vision

The Lancaster Area Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (LAVORP) is a restorative justice program that reflects the biblical perspective of shalom (peace), which is the existence of right relationships among individuals, the community, and God.

LAVORP provides mediation services to victims and youthful offenders, and collaborates with other Lancaster County services to further its mission.

LAVORP will continue to be recognized as a valuable resource with a proven success rate and reduced recidivism. It will be supported by contributions from a broad constituency. The staff, board of directors, volunteers, victims, and offenders will reflect the diversity of the community.

LAVORP will expand its mediation services to include adult offenders and a wider range of offenses.
